Symantec: Welcome to the nightmare

Alicecooper So I guess Symantec's campaign of putting out advisories and research on how Vista's security is sub-par has not worked as well as hoped. Now they are resorting to the usual standby for companies that have been steamrolled by Microsoft, crying for help and using the "M" word.  According to this report at least they were smart enough to do it in Brussels.  The EU I think will be more sympathetic to anti-trust, monopolistic abuse claims then the present US administration (who by the way recently let the AT&T-BellSouth merger go through without even an investigation).  However, I think these are desperate measures by a desperate competitor.  What a shame that the Norton brand will join Lotus 1-2-3, Word Perfect, Novell, Netscape and all the rest that have been buried by the MS juggernaut.
