A season of change?

Is it just me or does it seem like there are an awful lot of people moving around in security this past week?  First of all Juniper Networks announced that 3 senior people were moving on and being replaced by 3 others from within the company. Now, I read that the CEO of 3Com is stepping down, as soon as they can find a replacement for him. Also, yesterday it was announced, that the President of McAfee resigned to become CEO at Websense. In perhaps the most surprising move to me, it was also announced, that long-time Qualys CTO, Gerhard Eschelbeck, a very well known luminary in the security business, was leaving to become CTO at Webroot, the people who make anti-spyware software, down the road from us in Boulder, CO.  Well I certainly wish all of these people well in their new positions, but am wondering if there is something in the air or water? Maybe it is just the time of year, with many folks hanging on for end of year and quarter bonuses or options.
